Xi Jinping Sends Message of Condolences to President Mohammad Ashraf Ghani over Car Bomb Attack in Afghanistan

On June 1, 2017, President Xi Jinping sent a message of condolences to President Mohammad Ashraf Ghani of Afghanistan over the car bomb attack in Kabul, capital of Afghanistan.

In the message of condolences, Xi Jinping expressed that I was shocked to learn about the deadly car bomb attack that caused heavy causalities. On behalf of the Chinese government and people, and in my own name, I would like to extend profound condolences to the victims and sincere sympathies to the injured and the bereaved families.

China opposes terrorism of all forms and strongly condemns this attack. China is willing to work with the international community to firmly support the Afghan government and its people for guarding and fighting terrorism, so as to safeguard national security and stability.
