Xi Jinping Sends Message of Condolences to President Maithripala Sirisena of Sri Lanka over the Floods and Landslides in Sri Lanka


On May 28, 2017, President Xi Jinping sent a message of condolences to President Maithripala Sirisena of Sri Lanka over the floods and landslides in Sri Lanka, conveying deep sorrow to the victims and showing sincere sympathies to the people affected by the disasters and the bereaved families.

In the message, Xi Jinping pointed out that China and Sri Lanka are traditional friendly neighbors, and the Chinese people feel the same as the Sri Lankan people when they suffer in the disasters.
