On March 22, Ambassador Li Baodong, Permanent Representative of China to the United Nations and President of the Security Council for March, chaired a Security Council meeting to hear the briefing of Mr. Oscar Fernandez-Taranco, UN Assistant Secretary-General for Political Affairs, on the current situation in the Middle East. This was followed by a Security Council informal consultation, where Council members exchanged views on the Middle East.
