Q: The starting point of China-Myanmar oil and natural gas pipeline is located in the Rakhine state of Myanmar where conflicts broke out recently. Has Myanmar promised China to ensure the security of the project?

A: China and Myanmar are friendly neighbours. We hope that Myanmar can maintain stability.

Q: The ninth Asia-Europe Meeting will be held soon. How does China comment on the meeting?

A: The Asia-Europe Meeting is an important vehicle for Asian and European countries to enhance understanding, expand consensus and deepen cooperation. The ninth Asia-Europe Meeting will be held in Vientiane, Laos from November 5 to 6. With the theme of "Friends for Peace, Partners for Prosperity", the meeting's major task is to figure out a way to strengthen Asia-Europe cooperation across the board, boost economic recovery and jointly tackle challenges under the current circumstances. China stands ready to work with other parties from Asia and Europe to push for more positive outcomes of Asia-Europe cooperation.
