On the evening of November 10, 2009, Ambassador Liu Zhenmin, Deputy Permanent Representative of the Chinese Mission, attended a panel discussion on climate change sponsored by Japan Society. During the discussion, Ambassador Liu elaborated on the basic policy and positions of the Chinese government on climate change, and the main measures taken by China to address climate change. He also shared his observations on the international negotiations on climate change, and the prospect of the Copenhagen Conference and actions to be taken. About 80 audiences attended the event.
